Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club – Landscaping & Seats

Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club has been in existence for over 130 years and is located on Gypsy Lane, Beeston, Leeds.

The Club had to have 49 Manchester poplar trees along the boundary adjacent to Beeston Park Ring Road felled as they were old and unsafe. As a result, this side of the cricket field is now open to the elements (especially the wind) and the noise from the road.

The project involves replacing the trees with a new wildlife friendly mixed hedgerow incorporating 11 standard trees and hard surfaced seating areas for visitors and players.
