Improved Environment and Improved Safety Project, Tewkesbury Rugby Football Club (TRC), Gloucestershire

This is a project to make a series of improvements to the club’s facilities to improve levels of safety at the club. The works include: replacement of concrete/metal barrier fencing around pitches with safer RFU recommended barriers; reduce height of old poplar trees that are now at risk of falling during bad weather and damaging surrounding playing surfaces or spectators/players during games; improve the quality of the pitch surfaces due to heavy use from expanding club player membership leaving pock marks and divots that could cause injuries; replace Halogen with LED lights which are more environmentally friendly and improve visibility during night time training.
