Improvements at Egham Museum 11

This project seeks funding for microfilm copies of the Staines and Egham News from 1898 – 1903 for Egham Museum.
Egham Museum was established in 1967 to promote an interest in all aspects of local history. Run entirely by volunteers the Museum is responsible for the collection and preservation of historical memorabilia, artefacts and documents from Egham and the surrounding areas of Thorpe, Englefield Green and Virginia Water.
The Museum currently holds hardcopy originals of the Staines and Egham News dating back to 1897. The papers are frequently accessed by members of the public research purposes and as a result, are deteriorating rapidly. Microfilm copies will ensure that the original papers are preserved and facilities continued research by the public.
