Improvements to Cookney Public Hall

The fabric of Cookney Public Hall is essentially unchanged since it was first built in 1923 so the project will make improvements to ensure the sustainability of the hall in the long term. The project will lower existing ground level to the West of the hall to protect the timber frame, level the area to the existing area to the East of the hall to provide additional car parking, reinstate the boundary fence and gates, remove the existing cladding on the hall and replace with composite insulated panels, insulate the roof of the hall, provide ventilation to roof space and hall, replace the fire doors, and redecorate the interior of the hall.
