Improvements to National Cycle Network Route 1 in Slade Green, Bexley

The project concerns a neglected section of cycling/walking path on the National Cycle Network in Slade Green, in the London Borough of Bexley. In its current overgrown and littered state the path is difficult to use by the local community and is having a negative impact on the environment and the wildlife and birdlife in the area. The aim of the project is to improve the path through a series of community work days with volunteers recruited from the local area. A habitat survey will be conducted to determine the best time of year to conduct the work days and new signage will be installed once the path has been cleared.
