Improvements to the Boardwalk, Riverside Walk off Cabrera Avenue

This project seeks funding for the supply and installation of a new section of boardwalk and the removal of teh redundant boardwalk along Riverside Walk off Cabrera Avenue in Virginia Water.

Currently there is an existing boardwalk which forms part of a popular marked nature trail along the wooded banks of the River Bourne. The footings of one section of board walk are being undermined where the river is eroding the bank below. The aim of the project is to re-route this part of the boardwalk further back from the river bank so that the erosion does not affect it and the circular walk can be kept open.
