Improvements to visitor provision at Willington

Willington Gravel Pits nature reserve is a fantastic wetland reserve acquired by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust in 2006. This project aims to:

• provide a bird interpretation panel, to be stationed at a viewing platform which overlooks the site. The panel will provide an enhanced experience for visitors and enable them to identify some of the bird species that visit the reserve throughout the year.
• upgrade paths at the reserve by surfacing them with limestone chippings.

Volunteers, overseen by staff, will install the panel and undertake the path improvements.
