Improving access for all at Coed Y Bedw

WTSWW has managed this ancient broadleaf woodland since 1968. Currently the access to the site is not ideal, it consists of steep steps up the hill which are not accessible to people who have any kind of mobility issues. We are therefore looking to replace the steps with a gentle zigzag path up the hill and replace old stiles with gates to ensure easier access for all. Other improvements would include replacing old bits of boardwalk which are now no longer accessible for use, this will increase the area available to members of the public wishing to visit the site. Improved access will also make it easier for volunteers to come onto the site with equipment and will help increase local participation in the management of the site.
