Improving Access to Moorbridge Pond

Moorbridge Pond suffers from many of the problems of urban reserves, such as vandalism and litter. For this project, we wish to help enhance the habitat, while providing a suitable infrastructure to allow the reserve to be used as a valuable community resource. We will erect 125m of steel fencing to prevent fly tipping and illegal vehicle entry. Waste will be cleared and the boardwalk repaired. It will then be possible to have volunteer work parties to improve the habitat by coppicing and pollarding trees and maintaining the reedbed
