Improving access to Terrace Hill Garden

Following the success of Phase I access improvements, National Trust would now like to re-instate 80 metres of handrail on Freddy’s steps, which run from Edenderry Road (NT Minnowburn car park) to Terrace Hill garden. The steps are shaded and can be quite slippery, the return of the handrail would enable visitors to safely access the garden via the original route and improve accessibility of the Minnowburn trail which takes visitors through the woods and along the banks of the Lagan. National Trust will also utilise Iroko timber donated from Graham construction to design and make seating and a table in the Rotunda to replace the existing de-rail picnic table. The paving and walls within the Rotunda and on linking paths are also in need of repair.
