Improving Lifts at Chapter

To refurbish our only passenger lift and install a platform lift which will better service the needs of over 25,000 members of the local community who use Chapter every year.
The passenger lift at Chapter is over 20 years old and the platform lift was installed in 1978. Both lifts are DDA compliant but, due to their age, it is becoming ever more difficult to source parts when faults arise. Coupled with this, the number of times we have had to call out engineers for both lifts has risen sharply in the last two years. We are soon going to reach a point where it is impossible to source the parts for these existing lifts at which point we will be unable to use them and, consequently, will be unable to open both the first floor of the building and our main Cinema to the public. This would have a catastrophic effect on Chapter and the communities who use us.
