Improving Woodlands Cumbria

To carry out programmes of Woodland management around Carlisle’s Kingmoor and Cummersdale Holmes Nature Reserves,and works in the woodlands to the east of Carlisle namely Gelt Wood and Faugh Wood.Work includes selective thinning,coppicing,hedgelaying,woodland floor management and new planting works.We aim to improve the broadleaf woodland habitat through these works and to consequently enhance the habitat for a range of woodland species
