Inchture Redwoods Pond

The project will be undertaken to safeguard an avenue of giant redwood trees – major heritage trees in the Carse of Gowrie. In recent years water has been trapped between the trees and the adjoining property, gradually forming a large and dangerous pond, the pond is also killing off most of the native trees and is extending to affect the redwood trees. Whilst not aimed specifically at any one LBAP species, the project will enhance a wetland habitat that will benefit a wide range of bats, birds, invertibrates, amphibians and plants.
