Increasing community use of churchyard by creation of Leisure Garden and improvements to the Conservation Area

The churchyard is 4.5 acres and 0.75 acres have been designated a conservation area and 0.5 acres left rough-cut to support it. Our aim is to turn this area into a wildflower meadow, to replant these areas, with some of the older native fruit trees that existed before the orchards were grubbed up. To improve access to the area by upgrading the grass pathway using re-cycled rubber-safety mats which can be laid on the existing grass. Benches and a shelter/hide will be installed, the aim being to create a community leisure facility rather than just a burial ground.
