Incredible Edible Tod

Todmorden (Tod) is an isolated but vibrant town on the Yorkshire border passionate about sustainability. This ‘whole town’ cultural project will centre around the transformation of an area of ‘sour land ‘ into a greenhouse oasis packed with edible fish and plants of social importance – where visitors will enjoy a year- round aquaponics experience. It will stimulate the senses – sight, sound, touch, smell, taste and movement – and inspire ‘hands on’ involvement with local food. Co-located within a 30 ha urban amenity corridor, it will build on the success of a ‘free to enter’ Jungle Experience opened locally in a public park in 1998 (now one of the top tourist attractions in the area).
