Inver River – Water for Wildlife and People

Management of the river corridor of Inver/Larne River from the mouth at Larne Lough 1km upstream has been severely neglected. This has lead to major negative factors on this section of the river including access problems, reduction of biodiversity due to invasive non-native species, anti-social behaviour and threat of flood due to overhanging limbs. This river flows into Larne Lough which is an Area of Special Scientific Interest. The aim of the project is to appropriately manage 1km of Inver River, Larne River Corridor which will lead to enhanced Biodiversity, improved and safe access and improved security for local people and visitors
