Inviting Crabtree

Crabtree Ponds is an urban nature reserve situated in one of the most deprived neighbourhoods in Sheffield. It is free to enter and open at all times. We would like to improve public access by installing knee rails at two reserve entrances and by converting an area of scrub at the main entrance into wildflower meadow, making Crabtree more inviting to visitors and improving visibility into the reserve. We would also like to install 20m of fencing where Crabtree suffers from flytipping. Both rails and fences will be bespoke items designed by local artists working with youth and schools groups.
