Istead Rise Scout Hut, 1st Istead Rise Scout Group, Gravesend, Kent

This is a project to re-build the scout hut at Istead Rise. The hut will be used by the scout group three nights a week and will be available for the wider community outside of these times. It will provide a venue for a range of educational, health and social activities. The new hut will be built using the optimum amount of insulation and other sustainably sources materials. Rain water will be harvested to maintain the outside space. The space will comprise a main hall space, kitchen, toilet facilities with disabled access, a small office, small internal stores and a larger annex store for larger equipment.
