It’s a tip! Toilets Improvement Programme

It’s a Tip! is a major refurbishment programme for the toilets at the Royal Exchange Theatre. The Royal Exchange is accessible to all members of the public for over 78 hours per week and the toilets are used by in excess of 500,000 people per annum. The theatre and the Exchange Building are tourist attractions in their own right and deliver high quality performances, catering facilities, galleries and shops. The current toilet provision is inadequate and inefficient and we have received numerous complaints about the facilities. We want to improve our toilets to ensure they meet the high quality standards we strive to achieve across our organisation. We also want to modernise the materials and design to ensure maximum efficiency and eco-friendly systems. The toilets are a central part of our refurbishment programme for the building as a whole.
