Iver 21

Iver Environment Centre is a 2.5-acre nature reserve that provides the opportunity for the local urban communities of Slough, Hillingdon and Hounslow to discover and explore their local environment.

In September 2011 IEC will reach its 21st anniversary. To celebrate this milestone and ensure the centre is well resourced and equipped for the next 21 years funding is sort to initiate some significant improvements to the building and grounds.

New disabled facilities are required including toilets, ramps, viewing platforms, new kitchen facilities and improvements to the footpaths. We also propose some structural changes to the building to enable larger groups to use the centre. This would include the installation of a large veranda for use as an outdoor classroom, moving some internal walls and improving the light into the building.
