Jesmond Community Orchard

The group is developing an open access community orchard in a disused corner of an historic cemetary, where the local authority has given permission for the use. The purpose is to enable local people to paricipate in planting, cultivating and harvesting healthy produce to enhance a derelict open space and to foster community activity.
