John Whitehead Park, Billingham – The Hub

The project will improve John Whitehead Park (JWP) in Billingham. A currently disused building within JWP will be transformed into a youth space. This space will encourage social interaction, provide training facilities and provide a “place to be”, whilst utilising the facilities in the Park (café, outdoor gym, MUGA, skate park, tennis courts, play areas etc).

Specific works include plumbing, electrics, installing new windows and doors, knocking down an internal wall, installing new heating, new flooring, improving toilets, providing new security shutters and equipment for the youth ‘hub’ and adjacent community café.
