John Whitehead Park Synthetic Bowls Green

To convert a grass bowling green to synthetic which will allow the sport to be played all year round, as opposed to seasonal.
The facility will allow for a more effective promotion of bowling as a sport for the young & old, whilst contributing to the government’s strategy “Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation”.
The facility will impact on this disadvantaged area with a higher than average level of social isolation and low income households.
A Junior Group will be established following consultation with local schools.
To extend the catchment of the club from Billingham to the whole of Lower Tees Valley area
