Jonathan Ashworth Playground, Thorner - Equipment

The Jonathan Ashworth Playground is located on Stead Lane, Thorner and is named after a local resident who died following a car accident, leaving a young wife and two children under 3 years old. A Fund set up in his name paid for Phase 1 works to refurbish the existing playground. Phase 1 involved the removal of the old play equipment, the purchase and installation of new equipment, safety surfacing, dog proof fencing and gates. Phase 2 would include the purchase and installation of a timber adventure trail, 2 springers, safety surfacing and a seat.
