Kala Sangam Arts Centre

Refurbishment of St Peter’s House (Grade 2 Listed building and former post office) in Bradford as a cultural facility and public amenity for the benefit of the community.

This includes:
Refurbishment of Indus Room floor (major, multi-use events space), resolving load-bearing limit, making it fit-for-purpose for a more diverse range of community activities and public events, particularly: participatory community and arts activities, e.g. Academy dance/teaching/workshop programmes.

Creation of 2 new multi-purpose workshop/meeting spaces directly linked to central foyer as workshop spaces and as break out areas to be used, for public events or conferences or to hire as individual discussion/meeting rooms for smaller groups, e.g. for music, language classes.

Minor access improvements in line with access report recommendations, including induction loops and replacement doors with visibility panels.
