Kathleen and May Heritage Centre, Connah’s Quay

The Kathleen and May Heritage Centre is the former Sea Cadet’s building in Connah’s Quay (the building takes its name from the historic tall ship that featured in the BBC’s Onedin Line, and was built in Connah’s Quay in 1900). The amenity has fallen into disrepair and this project will help towards its refurbishment and conversion into Flintshire’s first coastal and marine heritage and community centre. The project is the brainchild of the Quay Waterman’s Riverside Association (QWRA) with a focus on marine heritage, community regeneration and training.
