Kelvedon Institute, Nr Colchester – New Small Hall (20114/D)

The project aims to build a small, separate hall with storage, toilets, coffee-point and good access to outside grass area and existing car park.
Aim of the project
Our lettable space – main hall, meeting room and kitchen – cannot meet demand. Potential hirers are turned away and new classes or recreational clubs are unable to achieve uninterrupted regular bookings. The Small Hall will greatly increase capacity and flexibility. Kelvedon has no informal youth space. The project will make possible a much-needed, lightly supervised youth drop-in centre. Accessible outside space will enhance educational and social activities for toddlers and young children. Centre – village location will provide an enhanced community facility easily accessed by pedestrians and private/public transport.
The Trust grant will contribute towards the new small hall.
