Kennet Valley Conservation and Community Project

The main aim specific to this application is to construct a new entrance to Paices Wood Country Parkland, a public amenity, to increase opening hours and extend them to include Sundays. It will also divert access away from it’s current route through an industrial estate, which has previously caused visitors to feel lost and intimidated. A new entrance directly into the site will raise the profile of the Country Parkland as it will not be so hidden away. This contributes to the larger project, which aims to enhance two ex-gravel extraction sites for public recreation and nature conservation.

(Please note, the remainder of the form relates to the construction of the new entrance, for which funding is sought through LCF monies)
