Killerton House Roof Restoration

The main roof at Killerton House has failed and the interiors are deteriorating. This conservation driven project seeks to fix the roof to protect the mansion from further damage. The project will use like for like repairs to replace the existing historic lead roof with a new lead roof.

The project also seeks to address associated insulation, chimney repairs, parapet and external masonry repairs, M&E installations and guttering to the public facing elevations. The house will also benefit from coats of paint to preserve the exterior.

On completion, the result will be a building that is safe, secure and watertight with no further external roof works anticipated for a further 15 years.
