King Edward Memorial Park Community Regeneration Project

We will restock the Edwardian terraced borders, plant wildflower plugs / bulbs in the meadow, plant new standard trees to add trees or replace old trees, create a ‘green wall’ in the underpass and enhance the biodiversity of the pond with a new pump. Throughout we will engage our database of volunteers and local people so that a range of people can be actively involved in environmental work, develop skills and build capacity, while having fun. We will hold a celebratory carnival style community event in the park in the Summer of 2009, and a series of workshops with community groups.
