King George V Playing Field, Rayleigh – Drainage

This project will allow the town council to focus on improving football provision for everyone and to provide increased opportunities for local people to adopt healthier lifestyles through participation in football.

As Trustees for King George V Playing Field, Rayleigh Town Council has begun improvements by building a new sports pavilion. This project relates only to the field drainage. The project has the full support of the nine teams that currently use the field for their home games. All these teams and the junior clubs that use the facility to train have suffered in the past with matches and training cancelled because of the waterlogged pitches and for health and safety reasons.
