King George V Playing Fields, Ipswich – Club Room Improvements and Roof Renovation

The Clubhouse has been sited at King George V Fields for 18 years and is in need of improvements. It has had some work done such as new doors, cladding to the outside, refurbished toilet facilities, flooring and security improved but to make the building much more efficient, the current flat roof needs to be pitched and insulation added. The driveway into the car park area has recently been surfaced with tarmac kindly donated and constructed by The Spencer Group, engineers who worked on the local railway project. The car park is still a very uneven gravel surface, during the winter months this gets muddy and pot holes are many which limit people visiting with mobility difficulties. Resurfacing the car park would make it much more accessible to all users to the King George site. Therefore King George V is asking for funding help with pitched and insulated roof on the Club House and the car park new surfacing.
