Kinghorn Loch Jetty Project

The loch is used for canoeing and sailing by groups, including Scouts, and schools. The jetty and wall-head at the loch-side are in a deteriorating state and considered to present a possible danger to the public. The current wall-head is eroded and now resides some 100mm below water level. The bank behind the wall is being washed away along a 70m length. This project is for the replacement of the launch area with Plaswood platform and bank with turf and hard surfacing. It is also intended to place bollards along the edge to avoid vehicles running in this area and signage. All works under this application, i.e. for the jetty reconstruction and landscaping, will be undertaken by the group
