Kingston Park Green Improvement Project – Phase 2

New equipment will stimulate children to exercise outdoors. Attractive seating will provide a welcoming meeting space for families.The older children’s playground will be moved to a more visible location, enabling better supervision by police.
Earth excavated from the play area will be used to build up a new football pitch. This is cheaper and less damaging to the environment than removing earth from the site. The drainage scheme for the new pitch will see water channeled to create a nearby wetland area, adding to the diversity of wildlife habitats.
New paths will provide easy access to these facilities.
