Kingsway Coffee Hub, Kingsway Church, Wombourne, West Midlands

The project is to refurbish the existing kitchen space into the Kingsway Coffee Hub. The church does not currently have a safe and warm space where members of the community who are struggling to heat their homes can come and be warm with friends, or on their own, confident of a warm welcome and no expectation to spend money. The grant will help to create this space, turning an underused area of the building into the Kingsway Coffee Hub. The hub will be open and available for use whenever the building is open. As well as providing a cafe style space where people can just drop in and make themselves a hot drink, there will also be activities which people can participate in if they wish, such as film afternoons, board and card game sessions.
