Kingsway Park

Kingsway Park, which is a former landfill tip, is a large open green space in need of some attention. This project will install a knee rail around the perimeter of the site with access control measures at key points. This will provide site security and prevent access from motorbikes and other unauthorised vehicles, and help to prevent flytipping.
Trees and wildflowers wil be planted on the site which is currently mainly open grass land. 17 trees will be planted to create an avenue of trees along a significant pathway. The trees and wildflowers will help to soften the appearance of the park and create new habitats which will attract a greater diversity of wildlife. This will provide a valuable educational resource for local schools and contribute to Trafford Action for Nature Plan.
