Kirby Drive Playspace, Telscombe Cliffs – Play Area Refurbishment (1816/D)

The project aims to remove much of the existing old rotten wooden framed play equipment, remove the existing tarmac at the top of the slope, and the tarmac and wood edged terracing currently covering the natural slope in the play space. Once the existing tarmac and terracing has been removed, the slope will be re-profiled to form a grass covered bank for installation of a DDA compliant slide. The new bank will also have climbing equipment for adventurous ascent and decent. It is proposed that new junior swings are installed with a bed swing. New more attractive climbing equipment will also be installed.
The Trust grant will contribute towards the play area refurbishment costs.
