Kirkdale Amateur Boxing Club, Liverpool-new heating system, electric work and redecoration

The aim of the project is to make improvements to the club premises to enable the building to be used in service to the wider community, and in partnership with other agencies and organisations. Currently the primary use is a boxing club, with over 130 members on average per week. Outside of this, the club is used for non boxing based exercise classes. We want to offer more (see access) and in order to achieve this, the building needs to be updated and improved.
The key 3 elements are:
-Install dual heating/air conditioning into the building:Participation numbers drop in the winter due to insufficient heating, and in summer as the building becomes humid.
-Update electrical components of the building to modern standards – reducing electricity usage, making usage more efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly
-Re-plaster/paint the interior walls. Due to wear and tear and general ageing of the building, the walls need resurfacing to make it more user friendly and pleasant/welcoming
