Kirklees Valley Access Improvement Project

Aim of project is to improve access to Kirklees Valley for the benefit of local community. Project will open up suitable route for walkers from Tottington & Bury to reach Ramsbottom, wider countryside, including West Pennine Moors. Improvement of footpaths, with fencing in certain places, anti-motorcycle barriers will make paths easier and safer to use. Useable for a broader range of people, work will be carried out by volunteers, and local community will be encouraged to participate. Enable them to receive pratical skills, training, gain a sense of ownership to site and bring community together.
