Kitchen Refurbishment, Wombourne Village Hall, Wolverhampton

This is a project to refurbish the kitchen at Wombourne Village Hall.

The kitchen at Wombourne Village Hall was installed 20+ years ago and requires refurbishment to improve and/or rectify many issues such as - removal of asbestos containing wall panels (Chrysotile), repair flooring after water leak, replacement of cupboards after water leak, installation of a double sink to improve hygiene, a new power supply with dedicated fuse board to allow the replacement of the existing gas cooker with an electric one, replacement of vinyl floor covering and the installation of new kitchen cupboards and work surfaces.

The hall is extensively used by local groups on a regular plus many one off uses for celebrating birthdays anniversaries etc. Many of the user groups provide refreshments and the kitchen area is very old and requires refurbishment to bring it up to the best possible hygiene standards which will really help the user groups. The user groups cover all ages from pre-birth to end of life with a range of activities open to all. The hall has easy access for entry/toilet facilities for disabled users.
