Kites Hill Pond Development

The Kites Hill Nature Reserve in Gloucestershire forms part of an AONB and is owned by WLT. The Reserve is an ideal site for a pond as it benefits from both a spring line and natural run – off. With a planned surface area of approximately 180m2, the pond development is an important part of our strategy to improve biodiversity by creating habitat for species of local importance. Through the extension of our nature trail to the site of the pond, it will also help to educate visitors and volunteers on the benefits of conservation and the importance of ponds for biodiversity.
