Knottingly Canal Side Improvements

The project is part of a wider Canal & River Trust initiative to improve and transform derelict and unused green spaces, both visually and physically, creating links between the Aire & Calder Navigation as a public amenity into the town of Knottingly. This project is part of a strategic initiative to improve the canal network for health and recreation in the whole of the region and to facilitate opportunities for people to volunteer with the Trust, to help and improve a stretch of their local waterway, so providing a sustainable legacy for those communities.
