Knowes Colliery Woodland and Access Improvements

CSFT is working in partnership with West Lothian Council to improve and develop the path network and bio-diversity value of Knowes Colliery Woodland for the community of Fauldhouse.

The project involves the felling of mature conifers, planting native broadleaved trees and conifers, the creation of 1215m of new surfaced paths to enable year round access for all, 950m of un-surfaced access routes, seating and access controls.

The main anticipated outcome from this project will be the creation of a clean and accessible path network enabling local people to enjoy the woodland for a wide range of recreational and physical activities.
