Knowes Community Woodland

Central Scotland Forest Trust in Partnership with West lothian council seek to improve the Knowes Woodland Area on the edge of Fauldhouse village The site is owned by WLC. The plantation is now 30 years old and has been unmanaged for a number of years. As a result areas of the woodland suffer from windblow and fallen trees. Plans created by CSFT for footpaths and improvements arvailable. The plan is to carry out phased felling and re planting. Restocking 6375 Trees in 2.55Ha. The creation of new surfaced access routes 1175Metre long. 600M grassed paths, Sign Boards,new seating, and access controls
