Ladies Walk Wood – Improving Visitor Access and Biodiversity

A range of improvements are needed to ensure this urban woodland becomes as accessible to local peoople as possible. An access controlled kissing gate will enable wheelchair accesss to the site and essential renovations are required to the path around the pond. In addition a bridge survey will highlight the need for repair and essential path cuts and litter clearance will make the site more welcoming and encourage the local community to use this invaluable source of green space.
In addition, we propose carrying out respacing and thinning work to the under storey to favour species oak, ash, beech and alder.
