lamplugh School Activity Area

The aim of the project is to provide a secure all weather interactive play area for young children in the local community who currently do not have access to such facilities locally. The exsting play areas in Lamplugh Parish are limited and mainly cater for children in Key Stages 1 & 2. In addition the facilities are located in exposed and isolated positions with limited security and very little shelter from the weather. Lamplugh School Association would like to develop an area in the grounds of the school to provide an all weather activity centre for children of age groups up to and including reception age. The area will provide a soft play area covered with a retractable awning to cater for varying weather conditions. The area will incorporate equipment and activities to stimulate young children. The new play area will be freely accessible to all community members and groups, including the local playgroup that already uses the schools facilities.
