Land Purchase at Norden and Corfe Bluff, Purbeck, Dorset

The project involes the purchase of 2 adjacent sites – Norden and Corfe Bluff, currently owned by Imerys Minerals. The trust has managed the sites for their rare herpetofauna since 1985. This has been by means of a lease agreement but Imerys Minerals are now looking to sell with first option being offered to the trust. Our aim now is to secure ownership, to ensure the long-term conservation management of these internationally important sites and to provide opportunities to the public for access and interpretation. Both sites are home to important BAP priority species
