Langford Lowfields Nature Reserve

Our work at Langford Lowfields aims to restore a sand and gravel quarry to wetland habitat. It is a long term, collaborative project. Once complete, the site will be 175 hectares of wetland reserve which will support important wildlife such as breeding populations of rare bitterns, water voles, marsh harriers and bearded tits. The project will also develop and install visitor infrastructure so that visitors can enjoy and learn from our work at the reserve.
