Lapstone Farm, Horton Heath - Community Orchard (1758/D)

The project aims to plant a mixture of traditional Hampshire varieties of apples, pears & plum trees. Local groups & volunteers will help to plant and manage them. We will install several bumblebee lodges to help with pollination. The field is grazed by cattle in the summer as part of the wildflower management regime so each tree will need protective fencing. The Trust grant will contribute towards the community orchard improvements.
