Lawshall Village Hall Refurbishment

The village hall dates from 1960 and is a single story of brick construction under a tiled roof; it has had at some point had a toilet / entrance extension to the front. This extension was badly designed with a male and female toilet area on opposite sites of the entrance hallway and both areas have an ante room / cloak room which is not utilised and is not really suitable for the needs of today. Also, there are no disabled toilet facilities within the hall. There are several areas for future improvement but the immediate priorities are to get the toilets re-arranged, to provide disabled facilities and access and to provide suitable rooms for the weekly doctor’s surgery and waiting room. The plan is to totally re-configure the existing entrance and toilet areas and make the improvements in the existing floor space.
